學聯前副秘書長岑敖暉在佔領行動結束三年後，才公開承認自己擁有美國護照，更指並非為參選立法會選舉。當年非法佔領，他大義凜然講為香港人，要爭取這樣那樣，原來他本人是美籍，憑乜代表香港人？！

翻查資料，原來岑敖暉早在2014年接受美國媒體Foreign Policy訪問時，曾自爆自己在美國紐約出生。他的父母是在1989年移居美國，其後在美誕下岑敖暉。

岑敖暉生世本不是什麼出乎意料，佔中禍首大多與美國藕斷絲連，但他的身世與Bruce Springsteen名曲《Born in the USA》的一段歌詞無獨有偶：

“Born in the U.S.A., I was born in the U.S.A.

I was born in the U.S.A., born in the U.S.A.

Got in a little hometown jam

So they put a rifle in my hand

Sent me off to a foreign land

To go and kill the yellow man”

特別是那句，「Sent me off to a foreign land，To go and kill the yellow man」，也許道出了岑敖暉的心情。歌詞講述越戰時，美國大兵被派到美國以外的土地，去殺害黃種人。

岑敖暉佔中三年後，公開表示放棄美籍，其實是暗示什麼？將會參選？失去美國支持？還是……不過下場可能像《Born in the USA》的一句：「end up like a dog that's been beat too much」，連狗也不如！

他還是回約紐，做個普普通通、沒有人認識的美籍華人吧！
